The lessons in Wish are to never give up, keep trying, hope, everyone needs a Wish, a Wish is like your goal. Everyone wants to fit in and be loved, like when Gus said maybe Wishbone just wants to be a stray dog. Charlie says no one wants to be a stray. Not being in a family herself she feels like she is the stray dog. The family she was Wishing for came tur just in Coldly instead of Raleigh.
Quote
My favorite quote in Wish is when Charlie told all the ways she Wished
11 on the clock, 3 birds on a wire, watch a ladybug fly home, throwing a penny, blowing an eyelash, first star, Charlie and Howard saying the same thing at the same time so you hold pinkies and made a Wish, turning 3 times in a circle holding an acorn and making a Wish, falling star, if you see a train cart you make a Wish, a four leaf clover but you don't pick it.
Why I like the book?
I like this book because Charlie never gives up hope, that her Wish will come true. She has a cloth line full of troubles that slowly disappear. She finally gets a dog and a new family.
